Church links are seen as one way of creating a viable financial unit's. John's in this respect is no different from many other congregations, it is linked to St. Mary-in-the-Fields Culloden, and to Raigmore Hospital where it provides the part time Anglican Chaplain.
St. Mary's is the newest church congregation in the diocese (opened in 1993). A congregation existed for twenty years prior to this. they worshipped in local halls and in members homes. The creation of this new church is due mainly to the resolve of the then Bishop, George Sessford and to the provost of Inverness Cathedral Alan Horsley(1988-91). Provost Horsley with the Bishops support changed the people of Culloden from a once a month congregation to a weekly congregation. Land was purchased and the rest is history. The building work began in 1992 and was finished in 1993.

Raigmore Hospital Chapel
Raigmore Hospital is the largest hospital in the Highlands, and it is the acute hospital for the whole of the Highland Region and the islands. There are more Anglicans resident in the north of Scotland than one would initially believe possible. Many retire early to move to this area to enjoy the scenery and to breathe fresh air. Others move into the area as a result of their employment. And when you add this to the countless numbers of people who come on holiday and end up in hospital, then there is much for an Anglican Chaplain to do. The Anglican Chaplaincy is also responsible for the members of the world-wide Anglican community, and also for those who are Lutheran and of the Orthodox traditions.

A thought from this page
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace (Col. 3.15)
We can lose sight of the fact that we are just parts of the body of Christ-sometimes, we think that we are the whole body of Christ
